The photo inspiration for this quilt pictured
my family as well as some other
folks. At first glance I remember thinking
"Oh Lord, what were we wearing?"
Back in the 70s the Gadsons could never
be considered snappy dressers. Clean
and neat was always my mother’s aim.
She did not care for lace or frills on her
girls and my brother seemed to always
have on a striped polo shirt of some sort.
In the carefree days of summer the three
of us often looked like the kids from
"Tobacco Road"
