Join us for this special evening at the museum when our Chief Curator unveils the necklace of the mysterious Mummy Princess. Recently discovered in an unopened box, the necklace is said to have mysterious powers! Each guest receives an identity for the evening and becomes a part of the story. Is the person sitting next to you who they say hey are? Find out in this new adventure brought to you by the same cast of A Dickens of a Mystery.

The story of "The Princess and the Pea" by Hans Christian Anderson is a classic fairytale. Come to the American House Hotel in Ohio Village for an old-fashioned English farce as our players turn a classic into a night of entertaining fun... with your help of course. There are parts to play for guests, at least one sing-a-long and plenty of tongue-in-cheek hilarity.

The time is the 1860’s, in the midst of the Civil War. You are having a quiet dinner at the American House Hotel when a commotion is heard outside the dining room. In bursts a collection of strange characters. They are a troupe of actors in town on their way to their next show. The local ladies, bent on raising funds for the orphans of soldiers in the community have convinced the troupe to put on a benefit performance. So, after dinner, stroll down to the Town Hall for dessert and be entertained by this roving band. Without all of their props and costumes, which went ahead on another train, they will need your help to make the show a success.

Did you ever wonder what happened to Scrooge after his Christmas morning reformation? You are in store for a grand surprise in this production of Dickens of a Mystery. As you partake in a hearty buffet, complete with Mrs. Cratchet’s famous figgy pudding, you will interact with characters from “A Christmas Carol” and then be asked to help solve the mystery. keep your wits about you, because you don’t know who will be next.

Discover the stories of the people of Ohio Village from one of the Village residents. The resident might be Mrs. Baugh, who runs the lodging house, Mr. Mallory, owner of the livery, or maybe even Sean O’Shaugnesy, the Irish handy man. Regardless of who the gossip is, your group will enjoy a walking/talking tour highlighting selected shops and areas of the Village. As you move about the town, the Village resident entertains and educates with gossip using historical anecdotes to ‘tell the story’ about the occupants of the buildings, their lives and their goings-on in the village.

History comes alive with Echoes in Time Theatre. Select from a variety of entertaining performances including Saints Preserve Us!, The Irish in America; Free at Last!, Juneteenth Celebrations from 1867 to today; Mr. Lincoln’s Cameraman, An Evening with Matthew Brady; Pull Up a Step and Have a Cup of Joe, An Evening with Mildred in 1933 and Home is Where the Heart is: Letters from the Front. New shows are being added monthly, call Lesley for the latest.
