Unit Name: 57th Ohio Volunteer Infantry
Muster In: February 1862 Camp Vance Ohio 
Muster Out: August 15 1865 Little Rock Arkansas
Unit History:
Companies mustered in between September 1861 and Feburary 1862. The unit enlisted for 3 years and re-enlisted in January 1864. Company A was recruited from Putnam County; Company B from Hancock, Seneca and Wood Counties; Company C from Auglaize, Mercer and Sandusky Counties; Company D from Hamilton County; Company E from Hamilton, Allen and Van Wert Counties; Companies F and G from Hancock County; Company H from Hancock and Seneca Counties; Company I from Crawford, Shelby and Sandusky Counties and Company K from Logan and Sandusky Counties.
