Discover Ohio History
Resources

The Ohio Historical Society has developed many informational and educational websites to meet your needs in the teaching of Ohio history. All of our websites have been designed to reflect the vast resources within the Society.

Ohio Memory

Ohio Memory brings together historical materials from archives, museums, libraries, and historical societies around the state to create a large collection of primary source material, both print and three-dimensional. Acting as a single point of access to historical materials from a variety of institutions, Ohio Memory highlights connections between collections, providing more comprehensive coverage of the state's history.

Ohio Pix

OhioPix is an image database created by the Ohio Historical Society's Archives/Library to provide online access to photographs, paintings, prints and objects from the Society's collections. The database is searchable by subject, title, photographer and dates. Staff has selected highlights from the Society's photograph collections and created galleries to illustrate specific topics or themes.

Ohio History Teachers

Whether it's classroom discussions focusing on glaciers, prehistoric cultures, statehood, or native-born presidents, the Ohio Historical Society offers a vast array of helpful resources for teachers looking for new and exciting ways to enhance their instruction of the new social studies content standards.

Ohio Kids
